“I stayed at Big Bird, which is a cabin essentially consisting of two 2BR 1BA units stacked on top of each other and connected by the decks and outdoor steps. There was plenty of room, especially with two kitchens, two living rooms, and two decks/patios. The kitchens are adequately stocked with cooking supplies. The vibe is traditional cozy cabin (wood everywhere). This property was extremely (!) clean, even the couches, bedspreads, and hot tubs. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I arrive to that. The land is scenic and quiet - so easy to see the stars. You don't really notice the other couple of cabins because they are far apart and have their own parking. It is a reasonable drive from Old Man's Cave. Definitely note that there is no WiFi so you might be difficult to reach during your stay. I have a Verizon plan and had no cell service on most of the property. If I walked around with my phone out, I could sometimes get one 4G bar and thus send or receive a text without photos, but I attempted one phone call and it dropped. Be prepared to be off the grid. They do have some TV channels via antenna. If I had one small suggestion for the owners, I would put wall mirrors in the bedrooms (over the desks) so they can be used to get ready while someone else is in the bathroom.”

“Just stayed here this past weekend, this is my second time going here. The owners Jerry and Wendy are extremely friendly and easy to work with. I emailed them to ask for availability and they were quick to respond and worked with our group to find us the best cabin for our group, we ended up staying in the Big Bird Cabin. It was beautiful, 4 rooms, 2 king beds and 2 queen beds, 2 kitchens, 2 baths and 2 hot tubs. The price for this is completely fair. They included firewood for us to start a fire and even had 2 charcoal grills and a swing for us to use. The walking path in the back that leads to a pond was awesome to walk at night and look up and see thousands of stars. It was a beautiful weekend, Wendy made sure to let our group know that we would have neighbors for the night and to be mindful and polite, so you can be assured that when you stay here, neighbors are something you do not need to worry about. I highly recommend staying here if you're planning a trip to Hocking Hills State Park because it's such a close drive and you can leave that beautiful park to come back to this cabin and enjoy the views from the porch. The sunrise and sunset here is absolutely astonishing too. This place is the perfect getaway stay for families, and friends. You will not be disappointed. My favorite part is that most everything you needed for a trip is included, besides clothes and food. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates, mugs, silverware and cookware you may need. Fridge is large and so is the freezer. The hot tubs are brand new and extremely clean. Go see for yourself and I promise you, you will not be let down.”

“My husband and I stayed this past weekend(June 7-9th) and it was simply perfect! Beautiful views, comfy beds, house had everything we needed. Only thing you need to bring with you is food & drinks. If you want to get away and truly have some peace & quiet, solitude, tranquility, and simply relax.... Best Nest Cabin is the place to be. We only went into town to eat and then we headed right back to our cabin, enjoyed the hot tub and watched the sun set. Highly recommend.”

“Absolutely AMAZING last minute stay at Best Nest cabins. Aisha was super-responsive, professional, and an absolute sweetheart. The Mockingbird cabin was perfect for the two of us. The hot tub was so relaxing. The cabin was very clean, updated, and cozy. You will have everything you need in the kitchen to prepare your own meals. It is very private- the other cabins are up the hill a bit. There is a fire pit, a metal double glider by the pond, and a charcoal grill. Not far from Ash Cave. The price is very reasonable- the peace and quiet out in the middle of nowhere is priceless though! Zero complaints. We will definitely be back.”
